Registration unlocks practically all the important tools: A+ Content, Brand Store, Sponsored Brands, Amazon Vine, Amazon Attribution and – particularly important – effective tools against counterfeiters and unauthorised listing changes. Without Brand Registry you sell on Amazon with the handbrake on.
We'll explain it to you over the phone – no jargon and no sales pressure.
For registration you need a registered word or figurative trade mark at a trade mark office recognised by Amazon – for the UK typically the UK IPO, or EUIPO for an EU-wide mark. The trade mark must be held by your seller account or your company.
The process: file the trade mark application (registration takes several months depending on the office), then register in the Brand Registry portal, wait for verification by Amazon, and finally link it to your Seller account.
For some time now, Amazon has in certain cases accepted trade marks that have been applied for but not yet registered, via an accelerated programme. This shortens the waiting time considerably, but is not available in every situation.

Applying too late. Registering the trade mark takes months – it belongs at the start of your Amazon planning, not the end.
Choosing the wrong trade mark classes. The classes must match the products you actually sell.
Not using your brand protection. Many sellers register and then leave the protection tools unused.
